At Mission Saint James we value the dignity and safety of all who walk through our doors. Men, women, children, and youth all deserve to attend our church knowing that they are safe and that leadership prioritizes their wellbeing. Unfortunately, sin knows no boundaries and affects those in the church just as it affects those outside of the church. At MSJ, we have developed policies for protection of both youth and children in addition to our diocesan sexual misconduct policy. Members of MSJ need to know how to address misconduct and abuse. This page includes resources and instructions for reporting abuse within the church and how our church strives to prevent it.

Diocesan Sexual Misconduct Policy
While Mission Saint James is part of a newly forming diocese, the Anglican Diocese of the Mid-South, our mother diocese (the Anglican Diocese of the South) is providing oversight to our safeguarding measures. MSJ Child Protection Policy
At Mission Saint James, we take the protection of our children seriously. In the summer of 2026, our team developed a local protection policy for our children, approved by our Advisory Team, and implemented by our Children and Youth Minister. To access this policy, click the button below.

How to Report Misconduct

Report to the Province
Our Province, the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA), takes misconduct seriously. If you have concerns about conduct from ACNA clergy (bishops, priests, or deacons), you can report through the Provincial web site. Follow the link below to report your concerns.
