The Rev. Christopher A. Powell Rector The Reverend Christopher Powell received is B.A. in English from Tulane University in 1981 and his M.Div. from Nashotah House in 1985. Previous to coming to St. James’ in 2002 as Rector, he has served parishes in upstate New York and Vermont. He lives in Jackson with his wife Lauren and two high school age boys. |

The Rev. Dr. Minka Sprague Associate Rector The Reverend Doctor Minka Shura Sprague is a graduate of the University of Minnesota. She earned her M.A. and Th.D. from the General Theological Seminary. Prior to coming to St. James’ in 2003, she served on the faculty of New York Theological Seminary as Professor of New Testament and Biblical Languages. In New York City, she was also on the staff of the congregations of the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine and the Church of the Holy Trinity. She is the mother of two adult children. |

The Rev. Shannon Manning Associate Rector The Rev. Shannon Manning graduated from Millsaps College in 1997 with a B.A. in English and History. She earned her M.Div from the General Theological Seminary in 2001. After graduation, she served in parishes in Ocean Springs and Lexington. For the past two years, she has been chaplain of St. Andrew’s Episcopal School. She lives in Jackson with her husband Ricky and their two young sons. |
