Acolyte Training

Acolyte Training, Sundays, during the Church School Hour (9:50-10:50 a.m.) throughout the summer.  Any and all kids wishing to serve as acolytes next year are encouraged to attend one or more of these training sessions.  Anyone who wants to serve and has never served before (Rising 6th grade and up) is required to attend one or moe of these training sessions.  Those coming for training should meet in the Nave at 9:50 a.m.  If you come to the Nave and find it empty, we will have already moved the training into the vesting area.  We look forward to seeing you on Sunday morning.

Parish Breakfast

Our cook, Petra Chatman, will provide a cooked breakfast each Sunday morning.  Breakfast will be available starting at 8:00 to 9:45 a.m.  Cost: $5/Adult; $3/children 7 and under.  Peanut Oil is no longer being used for food preparation.

Shawl Ministry Gathering

We have set the gatherings on Saturdays, between 10:00 and 11:30 a.m. in the Guild Parlor.  Here are the upcoming dates: July 28, August 25, Setpember 22, October 27, November 17 and December 15.

TGIF Bible Study

TGIF Bible Study will meet on Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon in the Guild Parlor.  Led by The Rev. Minka Sprague.

Weekly Centering Prayer Support Group

The Weekly Centering Prayer Support Group is now meeting in the Moyer Room in Gray Hall on Thursdays from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.  W are now taking a few minutes listening to a tape on meditation, as well as shring the experience of our practice of Centering Prayer. The last 20 minutes or so of the hour is rserved for doing Centering Prayer.  If you desire to know more apophatic prayer, please feel free to come.  With the Bishop’s support, the Rev. Tom Ward is now scheduled on Saturday, September 8 to lead a one day workshop on Centering Prayer.  The Rev. Tom Ward is from Sewanee, and a long time practitioner of Centering Prayer.  He is a dynamic speaker, and it is inspirational to hear his words on Centering prayer.  Please plan to attend this enjoyable one day workshop with lunch included.
